Sister City

project overview

Sister City is a conceptual cafe & bakery for three sisters who each resided in different places across the country. In 2013, circumstances brought the sisters together and they decided to go into business together.

Sister City reflects simple joys and community through a local café and bakery. The tagline of “All Together” is not only a literal reminder that the sisters are geographically together, but as a reminder of the establishment they want to create; one that welcomes everyone.

A flower illustration represents each sister and is used as an icon to help identify the brand. I also replicated a 20th-century flower tiled motif to work as a pattern in packaging design, among other areas.

Overall, Sister City’s brand evokes femininity and warmth with an element of vintage sophistication.
